A Hand Therapist is a licensed occupational or physical therapist specializing in treating shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand injuries. They evaluate range of motion, strength, sensation, and pain to create a personalized treatment plan.
Call 843-766-6494, and a staff member will direct you to the nearest office for a therapist to adjust your orthotic at no charge.
Charleston Hand Therapy Center and state law does not require that you receive a referral from your Physician before scheduling an appointment with our office and receiving treatment. However, in order to bill insurance companies and to receive payment for services, a physician order is required. You may request that your Physician refer you to Charleston Hand Therapy Center for your rehabilitation needs.
Yes, all of our therapists are fully licensed and certified by recognized organizations, including the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and the Hand Therapy Certification Commission.
